About Isy

Isy (she/they) is a somatic psychotherapist, counsellor, and artist. Specialising in mental health–aware, queer-affirming, and trauma-informed frameworks, Isy’s therapeutic approach is holistic, deeply relational, and body-based. Drawing on attachment theory, trauma theory, and neuroscience, their work supports clients to cultivate safety, connection, and inspiration. Over the past four years as a psychotherapist, Isy has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds—supporting them to reconnect with their embodied wisdom and move toward greater ease, dignity, and alignment with their values.

With over 15 years’ experience facilitating somatic and embodiment-based group work, Isy brings extensive expertise in mentoring facilitators and practitioners in their work with others. As Facilitator Manager at Collective Being, Isy has led programs and trainings across a range of community and non-profit organisations, such as the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Cohealth, Maroondah Hospital Adult Psychiatric Units, Foundation House, Transgender Victoria, Launch Housing, and many more.

Isy has a long-standing commitment to trauma-sensitive, community-oriented practice and has spent many years training practitioners to facilitate somatic and therapeutic wellbeing group work in community, health, and organisational settings. Across all their work, Isy weaves together their backgrounds in facilitation, psychotherapy, and the arts to create spaces that are tender, respectful, and skilfully attuned—supporting each person and group to reconnect with their wholeness and potential.

Isy lives, works, and learns on sacred Wurundjeri Country.
